Estonian Foreign Minister: Putin’s regime threatens all democratic states

Russian President Vladimir Putin controls a “bold, aggressive and unpredictable regime.” It hurts Russia and is a threat to all democratic countries.

This is what the Foreign Minister of Estonia, Keit Pentus-Rosimannus said in an interview with The Times newspaper. She urged the EU and NATO not to allow Russian President to separate these alliances and to force the Kremlin to pay a high price for violations of international law and inciting war in eastern Ukraine, which led to more than 5600 people killed.

The Minister also told that her country had limited relations with Russia after the Russian Armed Forces annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea.

“You cannot have good working relationship with someone who breaks all the basic principles of international law, finances and supports the killing of innocent people, who steals the Estonian military and illegally keeps him in a Moscow prison,” – commented the Estonian Minister.

She added that Putin’s regime cannot do business as an honest partner for as long as it acts as an aggressor.

“Putin only deepens the crisis in Russia by his decisions and behavior,” – added Minister Pentus-Rosimannus.

Earlier, the Lativian PM announced that the West would not wage Third World War because of Ukraine.
